KARACHI: Italian investors are negotiating with leading Pakistani groups to set up food processing facility and joint venture in power sector, Consul General of Italy, Gianluca Rubagotti said here on Thursday.
Rubagotti was talking to journalists at an event “Destination Italy”, organized to brie
f about business opportunities available in Italy’s tourists destination “il Vittoriale degli Italiani” (the house in which famous Italian poet Gabriele Annunzio lived during the period of his exile) and Cinematography and Audiovisual Industry.
He said that bilateral trade between Pakistan and Italy was increasing as the latter was exporting machinery being used in leather and textile sectors. “Italy wants to collaborate in other sector like agriculture and TV production”, he noted.
Dr Gianpaolo Bruno, Trade Commissioner to UAE, Oman and Pakistan, viewed Pakistan as peaceful destination for investment and dispel the negative impression created by western media about Pakistan. “The law and order situation of the country has improved a lot and now more pe

Guerri, an Italian writer, journalist and President of the Association “il Vittoriale degli Italiani” who traveled from Italy to discuss opportunities of bilateral collaborations in the fields of Cinema, TV Commercials, Fashion and Events and hospitality sectors.
Roberto Stabile gave presentation about opportunities available in Italy for the production and promotion of film and audiovisual works.
He said that Italy is a richest and most varied culture and landscape as well as top-notch technological solutions and equipment. It offers a whole range of different locations in terms of natural environments or related to art and architecture, providing solutions and emotional backgrounds for all kinds of film or audiovisual products and for all sorts of promotional or business initiatives.
Talking to Daily Times, Stabile said that he was confident to attract Pakistani producers of films and promoters. besides, he said that he was looking for joint venture in production.

Guerri said that “il vittoriale degli Italiani” is not only the residence of a wandering poet; the monumental complex, unique of its kind, was in fact declared a national monument and a Foundation was created with the purpose of administering and protecting the great heritage of works of art and of historic-cultural memories.
